This is what March in Kansas looks like, 6 to 12 inches of snow.
I took this video with my new Flip video camera. My parents got it for me as an early birthday gift.

24 hour party
As I am writing this there are 4 girls sound asleep on S's bedroom floor. We are 3 hours away from the end of S's 11th birthday sleepover. We started yesterday at noon with swimming. Then we went to Eric Fisher Academy for the Pop Diva packages. The girls got their hair styled, finger nails painted, and make-up. Then it was off to the mall for a little shopping, home for pizza and presents, and then to the movie theater to see Bolt. When we got home from the movies we had ice cream cake in our pj's and watched movies till late into the night.
It was really a great party, the girls all get along and there was much giggling. Now I must go get donuts and chocolate milk.

Feburary Baby Sweater
I finished this cute little baby sweater a couple of weeks ago. It's for a friend who just had a baby girl. This is a really fast knit and comes out beautifully. The pattern (along with a lot of other great patterns) is in Knitter's Almanac.

Thank You
Thank you everyone for your kind words and reassurance that I'm not crazy. I think it's like a break-up for me, I must go through the stages of grief.
We have S's 11th birthday coming up. She has decided on a small sleepover. She's invited three of her best friends and we are going swimming at the Y, shopping at the mall, pedicures, a movie and lots of giggling. Wish me luck!!

Rambling Post
This post is about a few random things that are on my mind.
First, yesterday after class and a nice lunch with a friend I was feeling so sluggish and tired. I wanted to take a nap but I resisted and went for a walk instead. It really did help me feel more energized and I was able to do a load of laundry and sweep before I had to pick the kids up. So this is a little note to myself to remind me to get out and enjoy the nice weather.
Second, I am feeling so distressed about moving my kids to a new school next year. I haven't shared with you, all the unhappiness I am feeling about S's teacher this year. It is bad, really bad. The problem is, she will either have the same teacher next year or one that is even worse. I also worry about T having one of these teachers in a couple of years.
So D and I have decided that it's time for a change. Our neighborhood school is only a few blocks away and we went for a visit, talked to the principal and some teachers. It will be a hard transition but I think T, especially, would benefit from the more structured setting that this new school would offer.
It's just so hard, our current school is like our home - we have been there for 5 years. I have spent so many hours there volunteering. We know everyone in the school and have so many friends. I spent countless hours thinking about it and sometimes crying. I want to do what is best for my kids but how do I know what is best?

Weight Watchers
I'm back on Weight Watchers. A few years ago I lost 20 pounds following the program and since my weight as been creeping up with all the school and family responsibilities; I decided it was time to get focused. the first week I lost 5 pounds and last week I lost 2.6 pounds. I'm pretty proud of that.
I am also training for a 10k in April.
