Clean up

As I was tidying up, this morning, I started to wondering if my little OCD-style of cleaning is common. I always start in our laundry room doing specific tasks (taking clothes to the closets, sweeping the floor) and then move to the next room, the kitchen, then dining room, living room, bedroom and bathroom. I do the bathroom last because I hate cleaning it and sometimes I don't have time to get to it. I always clean in that order, I was just wondering if other people have a specific order or odd quirks about the way they clean.

This week I have been very successful in speading the knitting addiction. Saturday night, I taught two of my friends how to knit and they each completed a bookmark with minimal problems. I also taught a grade 5 left-handed boy to knit at my work. Knitting left-handed was a new experience for me, I had never tried it before.

I'm thinking of entering the Tour de France Knit-along in honor of my new bike, Red Racer.

I always clean the bathroom first because it's the smallest room and even if I don't end up cleaning the rest of the house I can be happy that one "whole" room is clean.
I unpack that way, too. We moved about every two years for awhile and the bathroom was always the first completed room.

I just go big to small - pick up the big chunks all over and work my way to the hair balls on the floors!

I just try to avoid it all as long as possible. My OCD only extends into my knitting projects!

BTW: KAL looks fun. How do you look in yellow??

LOL. (laughing at the other comments)

I just found your blog from Ravelry! I'm in Lawrence! I've been thinking about the KC Marathon too but I'll probably do the half. I hope your training is going well!

I try to attack one room or area and stay there until it's done. I make piles of stuff that doesn't belong in that area and then process the piles at the end. Piles include: trash, donate, recycle, belongs in another known location, belongs elsewhere but don't know where yet.
