New Year

Welcome to 2009! I believe it's going to be a really great year.

I don't really make New Year's resolutions but I am trying a couple of new things.

1. Keeping a gratitude journal. I just write down a few things everyday that I am grateful for. A few examples from the last week: going to the movies, New Year's parties, sleeping late, completed knitting project, beginning knitting projects. If you have an itouch/iphone the app Gratitude! by happytapper.com is really good.

2. Working out every day. That sounds like a lot but I need it to be a habit, something that I do everyday with out thinking about it. I'm flexible on my workouts, walking for 20mins or 30 minutes of yoga counts as a workout for "rest" days. I'm toying with the idea of Olathe Half-Marathon in March.

You're so right about making workouts a routine. Maybe that would help me get my work outs completed too.

Gratitude is a hard one. Worthy, but challenging.
