One of my new obsessions is having my paperback knitting books re-bond with plastic spirals. They do it at most office supply places. The other day I noticed this sign at Office Depot while I was waiting. It appears that the box has caught on fire before.

More EZ Sweater Pictures
I really love this sweater. The fit is great. I made the sleeves 21.5 inches which completely covers my wrists. I have purchased the yarn to make an EZ sweater for S - a gray sweater with pink color work in O wool.
The bottom hem and the sleeve hems are made in this contrast color. I started by knitting 9 rounds in contrast color, then purled a row with main color, followed by 9 more knitted rounds of main color. Finally, I picked up and knitted together the 10th round and the cast on round. This pictures shows the hem turned up.
I just completed my EZ library - Knitting Around arrived in the mail today and I bought Knitting Almanac at Twist tonight. I already had Knitting Without Tears, Knitting Workshop, and The Opinionated Knitter.

Wii Fit
Nothing too exciting has been happening around here. We did the Wii Fit, after much searching. People keep asking me if you can get fit with it, my verdict is: maybe. If you do it consistently, you could increase your fitness.
There is yoga, weight training, and aerobic. The balance board also measures your weight and center of balance. I haven't had a lot of time to use it but I will let you know my progress.

Girl Scout Camping
This weekend, my Girl Scout had their first camping experience. My co-leader has a large property around her home so we took the girls there. The girls did a great job, they put up their own tents.

June
I know, I'm only suppose to do one thing at a time but really that's not my style. So here I am looking at tomorrow - coaching volleyball, teaching a learn to knit class, attending a birthday party and, on top of that, it's World Wide Knit in Public day. We are having a small event at the shop and I think I'm suppose to be in charge.
Next weekend is even crazier with a garage sale, Girl Scout camp out, volleyball game, baby shower, and teaching a sock class.
June isn't suppose to be like this, it's suppose to be swimming, eating watermelon and ice cream, reading and knitting. There's still hope - it's almost July.

Wii
The kids have been talking about the Wii since one of their friends got one last year but recently they have been talking about it more and more. D and I encouraged them to save their money to buy one and I knew they were serious when they decided to cancel our trip to Great Wolf Lodge so they could use that money for a Wii.
They were able to save the $250 and then it was my job to find a Wii to buy. Turns out it's not that easy. I called all over the city with no luck, finally today we found one at Best Buy. T was so excited!
I have to admit I am having a lot of fun bowling and playing tennis. I want to get the Wii Fit for yoga.

New Computer
So I gave in a bought a new computer. It's a Gateway laptop, nothing fancy. I like that it is much smaller than my old one and everything on it works.

Crossroads
I am at a computer crossroads. My laptop is at a critical care level right now, it crashes at least once a week, the hinges that hold the screen up are broken so I have to lean it against something in order to type. We had the computer tech lady at D's work look at it, she did her best but it still has BIG problems.
So here I am, shopping for a new laptop on a slim budget. We are in the process of getting a new roof (hail damage) and the van is going to the shop tomorrow for a tune-up and who knows what they will find.
I would love to buy a MacBook but even with an educators discount it is too much. I have just enough to buy a cheap PC but I'm torn. If I can hold out till the end of the summer I could get my beloved Mac but I don't know how long I can take the computer shutting down right in the middle of a blog post and finding some place to prop up the screen.
